Santa’s Spectacular – 4 day magical break
Your 4 day Santa Spectacular family holiday begins when you are greeted at Ivalo Airport by Santa’s reindeer and friends. After a quick hello and possibly a family photo, you will join your coach for a short drive to your chosen accommodation. On arrival you will be fitted out with your complimentary winter essentials – a thermal over-suits, boots, socks, gloves and hats.
You are now all ready to start having fun in the snow – who can build the best snowman, how about making snow angels, or a good old fashioned snowball fight? For mum and dad relaxing in the Finnish Sauna might be too difficult to resist.
Depending on your accommodation choice, you will then sit down to a delicious dinner in one of the hotels or a scrumptious home cooked family meal in one of the Christmas Cabins.
Day 2 – Adventure day
On the 4 day break you will have an extra day to enjoy all of the options activities available and explore. Why not try a Snowmobile Safari letting parents drive whilst the kids are towed behind in a sled. Why not try some downhill skiing or if you love animals a Husky Sled Ride or a Reindeer Sled Ride. One of the most popular activities is the Northern Lights Adventure, head off in the early evening on the snowmobiles, children being towed in sled, in search of the spectacular Northern Lights. This is truly a once in a lifetime experience that has to be seen to be believed.
After a day of excitement families will head back to their chosen accommodation for a delicious heart warming meal and an early night before the next big day of adventures.
Day 3 – The search for Santa
Today is all about searching for Santa, but throughout the day you will also be able to enjoy lots of fantastic activities - all of which are included in your holiday:
Husky Sled Ride – Riding with a parent, each child will get the opportunity to shout ‘mush mush!’ as you race across the snow and through the woodlands led by 5 or 6 eager huskies. This thrilling ride is a great way to explore Lapland’s winter wonderland and see if you spot Santa along the way.
Reindeer Sleigh Ride – say hello to your reindeer and Sami guide before snuggling under a blanket and enjoying this 7-10 minute ride through the winter woods.
Hidden in the snowy woods is Santa’s Elves and Igloo Fantasia. Join the Elves in their wintery Igloo wonderland for fun and games before visiting Santa’s Artistic Igloo and magical ice sculptures. You can also visit the ice bar and enjoy a drink (a local charge may apply).
Love reindeers? Then you will love Santa’s Reindeer centre where you can join in Reindeer Crazy Golf, Reindeer Lasso or help give the reindeers a quick snack. There are also plenty of surprises in Santa’s Special Reindeer Barn. After you will enjoy a heart-warming lunch which is all included in the costs.
After lunch there’s plenty more snow fun to be had. Try a spot of ice-fishing, snow-hockey, kick-sledding, tandem skiing, mini-skidoo rides for children or tobogganing.
But of course there is still the very important matter of finding Santa and once you do locate him in his log-cabin you and your family will enjoy an Exclusive Private Family Meeting with him and children will have the opportunity to tell him what’s on their Christmas list.
Day 4 – Grand finale
On your final day you can enjoy more optional adventures including a Husty Sled Ride, or go on Rudolph’s Reindeer Run or perhaps a Snowmobile Safari.
