Child Friendly Escapes, founded by Karen Londors and Kelly Pallant, offers an inspiring collection of quality holiday accommodation and attractions within the UK and abroad, specifically designed for families with little ones.
This website is for families who do not want to compromise on the quality of accommodation just because they have little ones. It is also to help with all the extras you feel you need to take with you, such as travel cots, toddler utensils and toys. In our eyes, this should all be included as standard and not charged extra for.
We are continuously adding new destinations so it is always best to keep checking the website for anything new, or even SIGN UP to our newsletter and be the first to hear the latest Child Friendly Escapes news!
Eve was born in August 2014, and my whole life definitely changed for the better. My passion since I left school was for travel, and before Eve came along, I travelled the world for work and for pleasure. I have 17 years experience in the travel and marketing industry, and now Eve is here, what better way to see the world than through a child's eyes?
Enjoying many a holiday in the UK with our 7 year old boxer dog Max, we still craved the quality of accommodation we had become accustomed to. We found this difficult to find, being able to retain that quality, whilst still catering for a baby. Which got Kelly and I talking, and so Child Friendly Escapes was born!
We are now nearly 18 months in since we launched the website and have come across many a learning curve! As they say, you live and learn. There have been many changes for Child Friendly Escapes along the way, most of them positives. We have developed a partnership with cottages.com and signed up with many affilliates who help make our product what it is - child friendly! We now have a wide range of accommodation and attractions to offer our followers and customers, and with all this on board, I am more passionate than ever!
3 years ago my beautiful little girl Fraya came into my world...and turned it upside down!
I had spent the previous 17 years working in marketing and travel, mostly cruising. I enjoyed travel and took full advantage of working in such an exciting industry.
When Fraya came along my priorities changed, I still wanted stylish holidays but the places we had stayed previously didn't really fit the bill anymore. They didn't provide stair gates and I had to pay quite a bit more for the use of a cot and high chair. This led to several holidays travelling in a car packed full of Fraya's 'essentials'. I wanted to stay closer to home and I wanted to stay somewhere that catered for children but I found it difficult to find a good choice, hence the idea for Child Friendly Escapes was born!
