Alton Towers Resort

Alton Towers Resort is one of the UK’s most popular family theme parks and offers a whole host of attractions for kids of all ages. It is also perfect for a short break staying in one of the resort's hotels or just outside the resort in one of their partner hotels.

CBeebies Land is, of course, the ‘go to’ place if you have younger children. They can enjoy 14 attractions including The Furchester Hotel Live show, Go Jetters Vroomster Zoom ride, Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure, Postman Pat Parcel Post and Mr Tumbles Sensory Garden to name a few. New for 2019, children can enjoy the Peter Rabbit Hipperty Hop ride, and the Teletubbies Big Band Show.

If you are planning to stay over, you can continue the fun by staying in the CBeebies Land Hotel. Rooms are themed and include Bugbies Room, Postman Pat Room, Mr Tumles’ Something Special Rooms, In the Night Garden Rooms, Octonauts Rooms and Swashbuckle Rooms. Within the hotel, you will find The Windmill Restaurant an ideal place to relax and enjoy a meal after a hectic day in the park. There is a Grazing Windmill salad bar and a full and varied menu with plenty of choice for kids. You can even challenge the chef to create your very own pizza!

But of course, if you have older kids the park has a huge choice of attractions including the new Wicker Man which claims to be the world’s most immersive rollercoaster and The Alton Towers Dungeon a hilariously hideous attraction which takes you back in time to explore Staffordshire’s darkest history.

For those who love water rides, the Congo River Rapids offers classic family fun negotiating rushing waters and waterfalls. Or battle your way through shark-infested waters on the interactive Battle Galleons ride – fun for all ages.

If you are planning to stay over with older children, then again you have the choice to stay within the resort or book a nearby partner hotel.
