Paddock can be found in the village of Water in the heart of the beautiful Rossendale Valley on-site with other holiday cottages and glamping pods. Once an operational livery yard, Paddock was converted from a stable in 2016 and offers open plan, comfortable and contemporaory accommodation for three guests. Site facilities include a reception area and a coffee shop. Outside in the extensive grounds there is a children’s playground and shared use of an island with firepit and barbecue area.

Rossendale Valley has a long history for walkers and hikers, and with 20 acres of land, there’s easy access to ample local walking routes. The site has also joined up with David Boyle (the area co-ordinator for British Cycling), and can arrange bespoke cycling tours (please contact the site direct in advance), around the stunning Rossendale and Ribble Valleys. Printed guides for both walking and cycling are available from the reception.

The village of Water is on the edge of the Pennine Moors in Lancashire, just 15 minutes from the towns of both Rawtenstall and Burnley, and around 40 minutes from the city of Manchester. The surrounding areas are stunning and serene, and as the name might suggest, there is an abundance of rivers, streams and reservoirs. Bank Street in Rawtenstall is a fantastic shopping experience for those keen to celebrate local, independent businesses and also boasts a successful and thriving market. Other attractions in the area include the ’Singing Ringing Tree’ and the ’Halo’, Burnley and Rossendale’s panopticons, Ski Rossendale, The Whitaker Art Gallery, and the East Lancashire Railway. Pendle Hill, known for its witches and 17th century witch trials, is within 13 miles. Shop and pub 600 yards, restaurant 1 mile.
